The Megger MIT515 is a professional high-voltage insulation resistance tester (megohmmeter) designed for accurate testing of electrical equipment up to 5 kV. It measures insulation resistance, voltage, current, and capacitance, and includes diagnostic tests such as timed insulation resistance (IR), polarization index (PI), and dielectric absorption ratio (DAR).

As the base model in the MIT500 series, the MIT515 is lighter, more compact, and easier to use than many comparable testers. While it does not include some of the advanced features of the MIT525 or MIT1025 (such as ramp tests, Auto SV, or USB data export), it remains a reliable tool for commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting high-voltage apparatus. With a CAT IV 600 V safety rating, rugged dual case design, and flexible silicon test leads, the MIT515 is built for demanding field conditions.
